A Polestar Customer Story
Tess Hudson, completing her MSc at McMaster, has used the Original Student Calendar throughout her university studies.
I prefer the use of a physical calendar to keep track of what needs to be completed. I brought it with me to my classes and the library in my undergrad, so I could check off things and record new assignments. During my graduate degree I kept it in my office. The offline nature of the calendar is less distracting than something on my computer and there's a little bit of joy each time I physically check off something that I've completed.
I really enjoy the design and options it provides. I find the three divisions helpful in considering my schedule for the day. I use the Appointments & Assignments section to record deadlines, meetings, important reminders, and my work schedule. Under General Study I make a daily checklist, such as readings or assignments. In The Rest of Your Life section I record plans with friends and non-school tasks that need to be completed (e.g. laundry and workouts).
The quote in the corner is always a nice surprise, as sometimes it focuses on productivity and other times on mindfulness. I'm in my final months of school now, and will probably move on to one of the other Polestar options to continue to keep my life organized!
